There is no blackjack player who does not get a thrill when the dealer busts, especially if he is still in the game. Now, with this new online blackjack variant you can add money to the thrills. Buster Blackjack has a side bet that wins when the dealer busts. Playtech is a leader in the arena of online casino games development. It picked up Buster Blackjack from the card rooms of California and introduced it to its licensee online casinos like Mansion Casino and Omni Casino.

The payout when the dealer busts is not awarded automatically. You have to stake an amount via the Buster Blackjack side bet. But before that, you also have to place a bet for the main game. Playing only the Buster Blackjack side bet is not allowed. Playing only the main game defeats the purpose of wagering on this online blackjack variant. So you place both the bets before the cards are dealt. The minimum bet is $1 and the maximum bet is $15. If the dealer hand does not bust after taking the cards as per the rules then you lose the Buster Blackjack side bet. But if the dealer busts then the side bet will win automatically, even if the player loses the main game.

The payout for the Buster Blackjack side bet is not a single specified multiplier. The payout depends on the number of cards that were used for the dealer hand to bust. The more the number of cards, the larger is the payout. The starting payout is 2 to 1 for the dealer busting with 3 or 4 cards. With 5 cards the payout is 4 to 1; with 6 cards the payout is 10 to 1 and with 7 cards the payout is 50 to 1. If the dealer busts with 8 cards or more the payout rises to 250 to 1. There are two special payouts for a dealer bust with a player blackjack in the same deal. With 7 cards the payout is 800 to 1 and with 8 cards or more the payout is a humongous 2000 to 1.

Playtech Buster Blackjack is a multi-hand online blackjack variant. You can play up to three hands against the dealer. The other rules are as usual. The dealer stands on soft 17. Blackjack pays 3 to 2. Insurance pays 2 to 1. You can split and double down as usual.
