Microgaming has announced a new series of table games that will be developed exclusively for its licensees by Switch Studios. The first titles will be Roulette and Blackjack. Super Fun 21 is a hole card online blackjack game played with a single deck. Options like late surrender on any number of cards and double down rescue are available. Player blackjack beats dealer blackjack. Six or more cards totalling 20 points or less automatically wins. Five or more cards totalling 21 points pay 2 to 1 instantly. A player blackjack in diamonds pays 2 to 1, but all other blackjacks pay only even money.

High Streak is a highly volatile format of online blackjack. It a European Blackjack variant played with two decks. The High Streak Bet is placed independently. If the player wins, the High Streak bet moves to the 2nd Streak without any payout. If the player wins a second time successively, the 2nd Streak win pays even money immediately and the High Streak bet moves to the 3rd Streak. This goes on till the 5th Streak, which pays 10 to 1 immediately and the High Streak cycle ends. If a player loses any time in the main game, then all High Streak bets lose.

Hi Lo 13 is also a European Blackjack variant played with two decks. The main game is played in the standard way with the same rules and payouts. The additions are the three side bets. The hand value of the first two cards dealt to the player is computed in the usual manner, with one exception. An ace necessarily counts as 1. It cannot count as 11. The Hi 13 bet wins if the hand value is greater than 13 and pays out at 1 to 1. The Lo 13 side bet wins if the hand value is less than 13 and also pays even money. The 13 side bet wins if the hand value is equal to 13 and pays out at 10 to 1. Once this bet is decided the base game continues as usual.

Blackjack is a casino game of skill, but luck plays an important part as well in determining which card is dealt. Redeal Blackjack allows players to eliminate the luck disadvantage to some extent by getting cards dealt again under certain conditions. In this European Blackjack variant players can ask for a redeal of their hand, or the dealer’s hand or their last card. This comes at a cost.
