The official launch of legalized real money online casino betting in New Jersey is approaching, and so the authorities in the state have set out some guidelines for players and online casinos to follow. These guidelines are mainly focused on the management of online casino bonuses and promotions and how they will affect operators and customers. If you are getting ready to start placing real money bets in New Jersey, it is in your best interest to stay informed on what the state expects of you, so keep reading to find out a short version of the document created by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Just as a reminder: A trial version of the New Jersey casinos operating online will begin running on November 21st and 22nd and not everyone will be able to access them. Real money play will be limited to eight hours a day during those days, then on November 23rd players will be able to place wagers from 8am until midnight, and once the trial period is completed the online casinos will begin running full time. That being said, these are the rules:

*Operators may offer bonuses and promotions along with a wagering requirement to clear, and upon cashout players must be able to always withdraw an amount equal to their original deposit as long as there is credit in their account.

*All bonuses and promotions remain active while the player has a positive balance in his account, once the balance reaches zero all bonuses and promotions end and the requirements will not be carried forward to the next deposit.

*Operators have the right to ask players to make their first bet with the money they deposited rather than with any bonus money that has been credited to their account.

*A player may withdraw from a bonus or promotional offer at any point and still be able to cash out the amount of their original deposit if there is credit in his account.

*All terms and conditions for bonuses and promotions must be fully disclosed by the operator, including all information for wagering requirements and cashout restrictions..

*Operators may not set a cap on winnings to be obtained by a player through a bonus or promotion.

*The restrictions for online gambling do not apply to the operator if the bonus or promotion is linked to one of their land offers.
