Microgaming, the leading games supplier to online casinos, is taking on board another independent studio. The latest press release from Microgaming introduces this party as Fortune Factory Studios.

Microgaming announces that “Fortune Factory Studios are committed to player-centric game development with a focus on creating intuitive and engaging gameplay experiences that resonate with players”. As is the case with the other Microgaming independent studios, The Fortune Factory game content will be available exclusively to Microgaming players through their licensed online casinos. The Fortune Factory team consists of talented experts from the land-based video slots and video games industries. They will draw from their diverse experience to create immersive online slot designs with high energy mechanics and a “whimsical touch”. This new wave of deluxe content will be completely different to what is currently available on the online slot market and will give Microgaming a competitive edge.

The first video slot from Fortune Factory will launch at Microgaming online casinos on Wednesday October 24. Romanov Riches will be the first official game under the new Fortune Factory Studios brand stated the Microgaming press release. This could imply that some of the earlier slots released directly under the Microgaming banner were developed on a trial basis by Fortune Factory. Not much has been revealed as yet about Romanov Riches. It is clear from the name that the slot game will be based on the last dynasty to rule Russia, which ended with the Communist Revolution. The upcoming video slot game contains mystery stacked symbols, a respin feature and a wheel bonus that delivers a host of bejewelled rewards.

Over the last year Microgaming has been sourcing online casino gaming content from an increasing number of independent studios. This includes Rabcat, Just For The Win, Slingshot, Stormcraft and Triple Edge. John Coleman, Microgaming CEO, explained the rationale for this studio model. Microgaming has embarked on this strategy in order to bring greater diversity and innovation to its customers. Phelan Sykes, Head of Game Production at Fortune Factory Studios, also released a statement. He said, “Our game design philosophy stems from our belief that marrying exciting and intuitive gambling mechanics with appealing characters, themes and purpose-designed orchestration creates the ideal gaming experiences for players.” He added that the studio was delighted to bring its ‘product with personality’ concept to Microgaming players on an exclusive basis.
