NetEnt is a leading games supplier to online casinos like InterCasino. Most of its licensees have so far been regulated by offshore agencies like the Government of Gibraltar and the Malta Gaming Authority. With growing regulation around the globe, NetEnt has been working with nationally appointed licensees as well. It has just made three announcements to this effect.

British Columbia was the first Canadian province to regulate online gaming through its British Columbia Lottery Corporation. A range of its popular games has gone live at the online casino of BCLC. This marks the first entry for NetEnt on the regulated market in Canada. NetEnt is supplying its products through IGT, another leading software provider. Therese Hillman, Group CEO of NetEnt, commented, “Launching our games to players in British Columbia is an important milestone for us in our expansion in North America. I am sure that our exciting games will be much appreciated by BCLC’s players.” Hillman pointed out that entering regulated markets was a vital part of NetEnt strategy going forward.

Many of the smaller European countries are also regulating online gaming. One of them is Lithuania. NetEnt has now launched its award-winning games on the regulated market in that country. The first customer in Lithuania is TOP sport, which is the largest betting company in the country. Henrik Fagerlund, MD NetEnt Malta and Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, said, “We follow our growth strategy by strengthening our position on regulated markets and we are very pleased that our popular games are now also available for players in Lithuania.”

The biggest announcement comes for Sweden. There NetEnt has entered into an agreement to supply its online casino games to Sweden’s main horse racing operator AB Trav och Galopp (ATG), pending the new Swedish gambling law taking effect on January 1st, 2019. ATG was founded in 1974 and will be one of Sweden’s largest gaming operators on the regulated market. After a thorough qualification process, NetEnt has been selected as an online casino supplier to ATG. The online casino games supplier aims to be ready to operate together with its partners on the day of market opening. “Our ambition at ATG is to create a responsible and exciting casino experience with long-lasting relations to our customers. We are pleased that NetEnt will play an important role in achieving this ambition,” said Mikael Bäcke, Chief Product and Business Development Officer at ATG.
