The prime objective of online casino games suppliers is gaming. But that is not all. The gaming has to be provided in a safe and secure environment. The system consists of a global network in which the software provider, the licensed online casinos and the players are linked together. This system has to be tamperproof and fraud free. Playtech is one of the leaders in the gambling technology arena, powering online casinos like Omni Casino and Mansion Casino. It has taken steps to strengthen its fraud prevention capacities by employing the real-time recognition ID software and guidance of Iovation, a TransUnion subsidiary.

Playtech has informed its online casinos and players that it will be installing Iovation’s ‘FraudForce’ software across its Playtech Open Platform. This is the name given to Playtech’s lead system for network partner gaming and play management services. FraudForce is a leading software application for digital fraud prevention. It focuses on the device patterns and recognition to detect fraudulent activity and identify hidden links between devices and suspicious accounts or identify manipulation. The focus is not on the user of the service as is the case with conventional applications for this purpose.

Shimon Akad, chief operating officer of Playtech confirmed the partnership through a press release. He said, “Everyone at Playtech is delighted to be working with Iovation to bring FraudForce to our licensees.” He added that Playtech was obsessed about equipping its online gaming operators with world-class fraud prevention tools. This partnership with Iovation is a key part of the Playtech strategy. FraudForce is a powerful weapon in the war on cybercrime in online gambling. Playtech is integrating it seamlessly into its system to boost the security of its licensees.

FraudForce has utilised optimised real-time data dynamics to build a data recognition centre capable of matching over five billion devices. This system uses the historical behaviour of a device, even across subscribers and industries, to detect any association with previous fraudulent activity and accounts or policy violations. Now, Playtech and its operators will be able to leverage the power of Iovation’s international network of four thousand fraud analysts who examine up to 30 million transactions a day and stop 300,000 attempts at fraud every day.

Ed Wu, VP of global partnerships at Iovation, also had this to say. “We’re excited that Playtech is joining forces with Iovation to make the Internet a safer and less complicated place for its licensees.” He added that this venture will give online casino players an extra level of confidence.
