Over the last few years, Microgaming has created several independent studios for developing innovative slot games. Now Microgaming has announced that it is set to shake up the table games vertical as well. It is partnering with Switch Studios, a new independent game studio, which will develop content exclusively for the online casino gaming supplier.

Switch Studios is based in Ipswich in the United Kingdom. It consists of a close-knit group of online gambling and social gaming experts that are driven by a collective passion for games and building dynamic features with the latest technology to personalise gameplay. This storehouse of expertise and experience will create a new generation of table games for Microgaming operators. One of the highlights will be the customisable components that deliver tailor-made experiences for the players. Microgaming’s introduction of Switch Studios is a part of Microgaming’s studio strategy, which plans to feed the online casino market with targeted content from multiple sources. Throughout, Microgaming will collaborate closely with its licensee operators to craft bespoke games to suit the needs of their player bases. This will also ensure that the players get a reasonable variety in the Microgaming portfolio.

The first table game created by Switch Studios is Roulette. It features a realistic 3D roulette wheel with lifelike ball behaviours. There is a brand-new game engine that supports racetrack betting, favourites and special bets. It has been specifically optimised for mobile gaming in portrait and landscape modes with the ability to switch dynamically between the two. A full suite of exclusive table games will be developed by Switch Studios to be launched by Microgaming in the coming months. Blackjack will be the next title. Microgaming will debut Switch Studios and Roulette at the SiGMA expo on November 28 to November 30. Visitors will get a first look at the game and learn more about tailor-made solutions designed with players in mind.

John Coleman, CEO of Microgaming, said that the objective of bringing Switch Studios into the fold was to ensure that a dedicated resource for innovating and enhancing its table games offering is available. He pointed out that the Switch Studios team has already demonstrated a facility for producing stylish and sophisticated casino games that are highly original and entertaining. Tom David, Head of Switch Studios, averred that the team has the background in the mobile, social and online gaming sectors to bring innovation and style to table games vertical.
